Better than pies: delicious buns with poppy seeds and blueberries in milk
Scones are an ideal alternative to cookies, pies, and even bread. All you need to do is make a good dough and add a delicious filling, such as cinnamon, berries or fruit.
Cook Yulia shared on Instagram a recipe for delicious cinnamon and blueberry buns that will turn out to be very successful and fluffy.
Ingredients:
- warm milk - 270 ml
- sugar - 150 g
- eggs - 3 pcs.
- fresh yeast - 35 g
- flour - 650 g
- melted warm butter from 82% - 120 g
- vanilla - 1 g
- zest of one lemon
Method of preparation:
1. Dough: add the yeast and sugar to the milk, adding the total amount of yeast. Mix with a whisk until the yeast dissolves.
2. Next, add 150 g of flour, also from the total amount, mix and cover with a towel and leave in a warm place for 15 minutes.
3. Once the dough has risen, add the eggs, sugar and zest. Mix until smooth.
4. Then add the flour and vanilla, and at the very end add the butter.
5. Put the dough on a work surface and knead until it is elastic and no longer sticks to your hands. After that, transfer it to a large bowl greased with oil and cover it with a towel, leave it for 1 hour in a warm place.
6. Next, roll out a rectangle of dough and cut the edges with a knife. Put the poppy seed filling and roll it up. Divide with a knife into 7 cm lengths.
7. Put the buns in a baking dish covered with parchment, brush the sides with oil, and sprinkle with flour.
8. Leave for 10 minutes and brush with an egg and 2 tbsp of water.
9. Put in a preheated oven to 180° for 23-25 minutes.
10. Immediately grease the hot ones with cream: 70 g of blueberry puree (boil blueberries with juice and after boiling, add 1 tsp of starch diluted in 1 tbsp of cold water), add 120 g of cream cheese, cream, and sugar. Whisk until smooth and grease the buns.
