Bagels with jam like fluff: a recipe for the simplest dough without yeast and eggs
Bagels are delicious homemade pastries that can be made with various fillings: poppy seeds, cherries, apples, jam, or chocolate, as well as different doughs: yeast, puff pastry, phyllo, or choux pastry.
On her TikTok page, food blogger Viktoriia (live_and_cooking) shared a recipe for bagels with jam, based on a simple sour cream dough without eggs.
Ingredients for 50 pcs:
- flour – 500 g
- butter – 200 g
- sour cream – 200 g
- sugar – 100 g
- salt
- baking soda - 0.5 tsp + vinegar – 1 tsp
- apple jam for the filling
Method of preparation:
1. Mix flour, a pinch of salt, sugar, sour cream, melted butter, and slaked soda with vinegar. Knead a soft, elastic dough.
2. Next, put the dough on a work surface and shape it into a sausage. Divide it into 6 equal parts. Roll out each piece of dough into a circle and cut into identical triangles.
3. Put the filling on the side of each triangle and roll it into a bagel.
4. Bake at 180 degrees for 20 minutes.
