"Apple Tenderness" is a cake made on the basis of sponge cake. That's why the texture is extremely fluffy. The dough is complemented by a delicious apple filling. It has a creamy texture, which makes the dessert taste very delicate. This is exactly what you need in cool autumn weather for tea for the whole family.

The idea for the Apple Tenderness cake was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Alex Mil (mil_alexx).

Ingredients for the sponge cake:

  • 4 eggs
  • 100 g flour + 2 tbsp starch
  • 100 g of sugar + pinch of salt

Ingredients for the filling:

  • 700 g peeled apples
  • 80 g sugar + 2 tsp lemon juice

Ingredients for the cheese layer:

  • 150 g cottage cheese + 150 g sour cream
  • 50 g icing sugar + 10 g vanilla sugar
  • 7 g of gelatin + 60 g of water

Method of preparation:

1. Prepare the sponge cake: break the eggs into a bowl, add sugar and a pinch of salt, and beat with a mixer for 3-4 minutes.

2. Carefully add the starch and flour, mixing lightly with a spatula. The more carefully you mix, the fluffier the sponge cake will be.

3. Pour into a baking dish covered with parchment and place in the oven at 160 degrees for 25 minutes. When you take it out, let it cool (you can cut it in half and make 4 layers).

4. At the same time, peel and dice the apples. Add sugar and lemon juice. Put on low heat and cook for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Cook until the liquid evaporates, then whisk with a blender and let cool.

5. Pour gelatin with water and let it swell. Add cottage cheese, sour cream, powdered sugar, vanilla sugar, and melted gelatin to a bowl. Beat with a blender until smooth.

6. Put the cake in the mold.

7. Next, spread the apple layer. And pour the cheese layer.

8. Refrigerate for several hours. To serve, drizzle with liquid chocolate.
