You've definitely been eating ice cream wrong: etiquette expert explains the mistake
There's nothing better than enjoying a cool ice cream in the terrible summer heat. It not only cools the body, but also brings gastronomic pleasure, as it is very tasty.
Lucy Challenger, an etiquette expert, told Mirror how to eat ice cream properly. It turns out that you should know the rules of etiquette even when eating this dish.
The expert notes that it takes a lot of effort to eat ice cream properly. The hardest part, she says, is eating ice cream served in a cone, as it usually makes the biggest mess.
How to eat ice cream in a cone
1. First, run your tongue around the rim to pick up any excess ice cream drops that have already melted.
2. Now make a circular motion with your tongue until the ice cream is seated in the cone. The main rule is to never bite the ice cream.
3. If the ice cream starts to fall out of the cone, you should use your tongue to put it back in place. This method is perfectly acceptable and does not go beyond the limits of etiquette.
4. When the ice cream is set in a cone, you should start biting off the waffle a little bit. This should be done in small pieces and very carefully.
