How to cook chicken properly

Nutritionist Oksana Hrynkiv told us how to choose the right kind of chicken, how often it should be eaten, in what form, and when it becomes unsafe to eat.

In an exclusive commentary for OBOZREVATEL, the expert said that daily consumption of chicken can lead to eating disorders. Poultry becomes especially dangerous when it is treated with chemicals or when parasites have entered its body.

The internal organs of the bird suffer the most. So, if you have any doubts about chicken, you should give preference to fillet. It is of high quality, especially when properly processed: boiled, or baked. As for other meat, it must be pre-soaked.

The quality of a product can only be determined when it is packaged in a vacuum bag and always with a reference to a manufacturer we know for sure. This indicates that the product is fresh.
Chicken fillet has the highest content of quality protein

Even though chicken is high in quality protein, the expert does not recommend eating it every day. It is enough to eat it 2-3 times a week.

The body needs a variety of food. If the diet becomes monotonous, it can lead to eating disorders.

Chicken retains the most proteins and beneficial properties when it is boiled in water. However, you can bake it, steam it, or cook it in a slow cooker. The nutritionist recommends avoiding fried chicken. This method of cooking has a high content of additional fat.

Who should avoid eating chicken?

If the chicken is of high quality, properly cooked, and a person does not feel any discomfort after eating it, absolutely everyone can eat it. The only exception is diseases of the gastrointestinal tract. In some cases, it is worth minimizing the consumption of chicken, in others – to exclude it from the diet altogether.
