One of the most popular dishes in the fall is cabbage rolls because it's the cabbage season. To make the filling juicy and taste good, you need to choose the right rice so that it does not absorb all the sauce. Otherwise, the cabbage rolls can turn out dry.

Baked cabbage rolls with rice
Ingredients:
- cabbage
- minced meat
- carrot
- onion
- rice
- greens
- tomato paste
- cream
How to cook:
- Boil the rice until half cooked
- Fry the onions and carrots with tomato paste.
- Mix with rice and add minced meat and herbs.
- Pour boiling water over the cabbage and separate the leaves.
- Form cabbage rolls and put them in a baking dish
- Mix cream and tomato paste. Add a little water and pour over the cabbage rolls.
- Cover with foil and bake at 180 degrees for an hour and a half.
What kind of rice is best
It should have a creamy texture and still remain crumbly.
Thus, you can use varieties of round-grain rice:
- arborio
- vialone nano
- carnaroli
The correct technology for cooking rice for cabbage rolls
- It must be thoroughly rinsed.
- There should be plenty of water, and it must be salted.
- Cooking time: 10-12 minutes.
- Drain and rinse the boiled product with cold water.
