Surprisingly enough, even such a seemingly universal and simple dish as kebabs often does not go well with many foods. For example, it is not so healthy if eaten with bread, potatoes and dairy products.
Nutritionist Natalia Makiienko shared some tips on her Instagram page on what foods are best to combine barbecue with so as not to harm the body.
Expert advice:
- You need to choose one type of protein. It's much healthier and you're less likely to overeat.
- Red meat does not go well with potatoes, bread, and pita bread.
- For lunch, turkey, chicken, seafood, and fish go best with any side dish.
- Do not forget to eat vegetables and greens as they will improve digestion.
The nutritionist noted that barbecue marinades are best used without dairy products, as well as mayonnaise and vinegar.
