According to nutritionist Morgyn Claire, yogurt helps to lose weight because it contains beneficial bacteria that control weight and improve bowel function. "Yogurt is a great snack for those who are dieting," says Clare.

Amber O'Brien, a doctor, said that yogurt is an excellent source of calcium, which is essential for healthy bones, teeth, and nails; Hiba Batul, a nutritionist, said that yogurt for breakfast improves mood, and Megan Bird, a nutritionist, assures that the fermented milk product strengthens the immune system.

At the same time, experts say that yogurt has many disadvantages. Even though fermented milk improves bowel function, eating such products can have a bad effect on the stomach.

For example, naturopath Melanie Keller said that she does not advise consuming fermented milk products for those who have too sensitive stomachs or lactose intolerance. Nutritionist Amy Lee noted that only natural yogurts without flavor and flavorings are healthy: yogurts with different flavors contain too much sugar, which in turn can negatively affect the condition of the skin, figure, and health in general.
