Two interesting fillings for stuffed eggs: mackerel and sprats
Stuffed eggs are a simple homemade appetizer. Most often, they are stuffed with processed cheese, garlic, and mayonnaise. But there is another option: mackerel and sprats.
Food blogger Natalia Parkhomenko shared two recipes for stuffed eggs with delicious and interesting fillings on her YouTube channel.
Stuffed eggs with smoked mackerel
Ingredients:
- smoked mackerel fillet - 1 pc
- eggs - 5 pcs
- dill
- onions - 1/2 pcs
- mayonnaise
- salt, pepper
For the decor:
- fresh cranberries
- fresh dill
- lettuce leaves
Method of preparation:
1. Clean the fish fillt from bones and skin. Cut into cubes.
2. Chop the onion and dill.
3. Boil the eggs, separate the whites from the yolks. Grate the yolks on a fine grater.
4. Mix the ingredients and season with mayonnaise.
5. Stuff the eggs with the filling. Garnish with dill and cranberries and serve with lettuce leaves.
Stuffed eggs with sprats
Ingredients:
- eggs - 5 pcs.
- sprats - 150 g
- pickled cucumber - 1 pc
- green onions
- mayonnaise
For the decor:
- fresh dill
Method of preparation:
1. Cut the cucumber into cubes.
2. Boil the eggs, separate the whites from the yolks. Add the yolks to the cucumbers.
3. Cut off the tail of the sprats. You will need them for decoration. Add everything else to the rest of the ingredients.
4. Add mayonnaise and mix the filling until smooth.
5. Chop the onion and add to the filling.
6. Stuff the eggs. Garnish with dill and stick one sprat tail inside each egg.
