Celebrity chef Hector Jimenez-Bravo shared three of the best marinades for chicken on Instagram. With them, this type of meat will always be as juicy and tasty as possible.
Yellow marinade
Ingredients
- Olive oil – 2 tbsp
- Yogurt – 1 tbsp
- Paprika – 1/2 tsp
- Cumin – 1/2 tsp
- Salt – 1 tsp
- Dried onion – 1/2 tsp
- Dried ginger – 1/2 tsp
- Black pepper – 1/2 tsp
- Turmeric – 1 tsp
- Dry garlic – 1/2 tsp
- Dried or fresh cilantro – 1 tsp
Method of preparation
1. Mix all ingredients in a separate container.
2. Add the chicken meat.
3. Leave to marinate.
Red marinade
Ingredients
- Olive oil – 2 tbsp
- Sour cream – 2 tbsp
- Fresh ginger – 1 tsp
- Fresh garlic – 1 clove
- Cinnamon – 1/2 tsp
- Cloves – 1/2 tsp
- Nutmeg – 1/2 tsp
- Salt – 1 tsp
- Cumin – 1/2 tsp
- Anise – 1/2 tsp
- Dry chili – 1/2 tsp
- Turmeric – 1/2 tsp
- Coriander – 1/2 tsp
- Paprika – 2 tsp
- Juice of half a lime
Method of preparation
1. Grind cumin, cloves, and anise in a mortar.
2. Mix all the ingredients in a deep bowl.
3. Marinate the chicken fillet or thighs.
Green marinade
Ingredients
- Olive oil – 2 tbsp
- Fresh chili – 1 tsp
- Garlic – 1 clove
- Lemon/lime juice and zest
- Cilantro (can be replaced with parsley) – 1 tbsp
- Paprika – 1/2 tsp
- Coriander – 1/2 tsp
- Cumin – 1/2 tsp
- Salt – 1 tsp
- Honey – 1 tbsp
Method of preparation
1. Grind cumin, cloves, and anise in a mortar.
2. Mix all the ingredients in a deep bowl.
3. Marinate the chicken fillet or thighs.
