How to cook a delicious ''Napoleon''

For the dough:

  • Sour cream - 200 g
  • Butter - 200 g
  • Flour - 500-600 g

For the cream:

Cream for Napoleon
  • Sugar - 250 g
  • Vanilla - a pinch
  • Milk - 375 ml
  • Egg yolks - 6 pcs.
  • Starch - 3 tbsp
  • Flour - 3 tbsp
  • Butter - 200 g

Method of preparation:

1. Mash the butter at room temperature well with a fork, add the sour cream, and mix well.

2. Sift the flour, add to this mixture, and mix well, knead quickly with your hands and form the dough into balls, transfer to a suitable dish, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

3. Cream: put the egg yolks in a heavy-bottomed saucepan, put on low heat, stir well, add sugar, warm milk, and stir.

4. Add the starch and flour, and mix very quickly so that it does not cook.

5. Add a pinch of salt and the remaining milk, and cook until tender, stirring constantly to avoid lumps.

6. Roll out the finished dough, prick it with a fork, and put it in the oven to bake the cakes well.

7. Beat the butter and sugar and add the cream, continue beating.
