Who doesn't love delicious cakes, especially Napoleon. Of course, this dish is not easy to prepare, but if you choose quality products and a good recipe, you will get a delicious and delicate treat.

Popular Ukrainian blogger Dasha Yevtukh shared on Instagram an elementary recipe for a delicious, tender, and flavorful Napoleon that will become one of your favorite desserts.

Ingredients:

For the dough:

  • Sour cream - 200 g
  • Butter - 200 g
  • Flour - 500-600 g

For the cream:

  • Sugar - 250 g
  • Vanilla - a pinch
  • Milk - 375 ml
  • Egg yolks - 6 pcs.
  • Starch - 3 tbsp
  • Flour - 3 tbsp
  • Butter - 200 g

Method of preparation:

1. Mash the butter at room temperature well with a fork, add the sour cream, and mix well.

2. Sift the flour, add to this mixture, and mix well, knead quickly with your hands and form the dough into balls, transfer to a suitable dish, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

3. Cream: put the egg yolks in a heavy-bottomed saucepan, put on low heat, stir well, add sugar, warm milk, and stir.

4. Add the starch and flour, and mix very quickly so that it does not cook.

5. Add a pinch of salt and the remaining milk, and cook until tender, stirring constantly to avoid lumps.

6. Roll out the finished dough, prick it with a fork, and put it in the oven to bake the cakes well.

7. Beat the butter and sugar and add the cream, continue beating.

8. Form the cake: put the cream on the dish, top with the cake, cream again, and so on with all the cakes.

9. Spread the top generously with cream and sprinkle with crumbs.

The finished cake can be served immediately without leaving it in the refrigerator for several hours.
