Mackerel can be deliciously baked, as well as cooked with vegetables in the oven, with sauces and spices. It can also be salted and marinated with salt, vinegar, and oil.

The cook shared a recipe for delicious pickled mackerel with vinegar, sugar, and salt on Instagram.

Ingredients:

  • Mackerel - 1 pc.
  • Water - 300 ml.
  • Peppercorns - 8 pcs.
  • Bay leaves - 3-4 pcs.
  • Salt - 2 tsp.
  • Sugar - 1 tsp.
  • Oil - 2 tbsp.
  • Vinegar - 1 tbsp.

Method of preparation:

1. Add the peppercorns, bay leaves, salt, sugar, oil and vinegar to the water, bring to a boil and let cool.

2. Meanwhile, remove the insides from the mackerel, wash and cut into pieces.

3. Transfer to a container and pour the marinade over the fish and leave in the refrigerator overnight.
