How to cook spicy and flavorful lard

If you cook lard this way, it will be a great addition to your holiday table. To make such a simple product tasty, spicy, and flavorful, you should use ordinary onion peel and a lot of spices. If you follow a simple cooking technique, you will get the best dish for the feast.

Ingredients:

  • lard - 2 kg (back part)
  • onion peel - 2-3 handfuls
  • whole unpeeled onion - 1 pc
  • ground cardamom - 1 tbsp
  • black peppercorns - 20 pcs
  • red pepper - a pinch for sprinkling
  • salt - 8 tbsp
  • red hot pepper - on the tip of a knife for sprinkling
  • garlic - to taste

Method of preparation:

1. Pour water over the onion peel.

2. Add onion, salt, black peppercorns, ground red pepper, hot pepper, cut into small pieces, and cardamom and boil.

3. Cut the lard (no more than 5 cm wide).

4. Boil the water for 5 minures, then put the lard in it and cook for 10 minutes.

5. Finely chop the garlic or grate it.

6. Mix the peppers. You can add cumin to taste.

7. When the lard is cooked, remove it and let it cool slightly.

8. Then rub with garlic and a mixture of cooked spices. If desired, you can stuff the lard with garlic too.

9. Wrap in foil and put in the freezer.
