Poppy seed pita bread roll for tea in 15 minutes – an easy recipe
Pita bread is a versatile product that can be used to make many delicious, simple, and satisfying dishes. From pies with salty fillings to delicious rolls for tea with berries, poppy seeds, raisins, and cottage cheese.
Cook and food blogger Alla Kovaliova shared on Instagram an elementary recipe for a delicious poppy seed roll made of pita bread for tea, which takes only 15 minutes to prepare.
Ingredients:
- pita bread – 1 pc
- cheese – 150 g
- eggs – 2 pcs
- poppy seeds – 80 g
- sweetener or sugar – to taste
Method of preparation:
1. Pour boiling water over the poppy seeds and leave for a few minutes to steam.
2. Mix the cottage cheese with one egg and one egg white (keep the yolk for greasing), and add poppy seeds and sugar.
3. Unfold the pita bread and spread it with the prepared cheese and poppy seed mixture.
4. Roll up and brush with egg yolk, place on a baking sheet, and bake for 15 minutes at 180 C.
