Pickled appetizer tomatoes: how to make a great addition to a barbecue
What could be tastier than a juicy and flavorful shish kebab cooked over charcoal in the best marinade? Only this dish can be better than it but in addition to a delicious appetizer that will fully reveal the taste of the kebab.
Food blogger Anna Sholkova shared on Instagram how to make pickled tomatoes so that everyone will like them. This appetizer can be stored in the refrigerator for several months.
Ingredients
- Tomatoes – 1 kg
- Parsley
- Garlic
- Sweet pepper
- Hot pepper
- Oil
- Water – ½ liter
- Salt – 30 gr
- Sugar – 60 gr
- Vinegar – 50 ml
The method of preparation
1. Mix water, salt and sugar in a saucepan. Cook until dissolved and let cool completely.
2. Add 50 ml of vinegar to the marinade and stir.
3. In a separate bowl, combine sweet and hot peppers, garlic, and chopped parsley. Add the oil and mix.
4. Cut the tomatoes in half or into quarters.
5. Put the tomatoes in a container with the cut side up. Put some of the flavorful mixture on top. Repeat the layers until you run out of ingredients.
6. Pour the marinade over the tomatoes, cover, and leave for two days.
