"Peat" pie with cherries: made from ingredients that are in the refrigerator
"Peat" pie with cherries is a dessert that impresses. It impresses not only with its beautiful appearance but also with its incredible taste.
The recipe for this cake is quite simple, says food blogger Alex Mil. On Instagram, he said that "peat" cake is made from products that are found in almost every refrigerator.
Ingredients for the dough
- Flour – 400 g
- Cocoa – 4 tbsp
- Sugar – 100 g
- Salt – a pinch
- Butter – 200 gr
Ingredients for the filling
- Cottage cheese – 500 gr
- Eggs – 4 pcs
- Sugar – 150 gr
- Sour cream 15% – 100 gr
- Starch – 2 tbsp
- Vanilla sugar – 10 g
- Pitted cherries – 300 g + 1 tbsp of starch
Method of preparation
1. Put flour, cold butter, sifted cocoa, a pinch of salt, and sugar into a deep bowl. Rub it into crumbs with your hands.
2. Put the cottage cheese, sour cream, sugar, vanilla sugar, and eggs in another bowl. Beat with a blender until smooth. Add the starch and stir.
3. Mix the cherries with the starch. You can use fresh, thawed, or canned cherries.
4. Cover the baking dish with parchment. Pour in 2/3 of the crumbs and tamp well.
5. Pour in half of the curd mass, put the berries, and pour the remaining curd mass.
6. Gently sprinkle the remaining crumbs on top.
7. Bake at 180 degrees for 60 minutes, let cool completely and remove from the mold.
