Brownie is a rich chocolate cake. And it can be eaten even by people who are watching their diet. You just need to choose the right ingredients. In this case, beets are perfect. It has its own natural sweet taste, so the dessert does not require the addition of sugar.
The idea of making a chocolate brownie with beets was published on the Instgaram page of food blogger Snizhana Voroshylova (snezhana_voroshylova).
Ingredients:
- boiled beetroot - 200 g
- black raisins - 50 g
- walnuts - 40 g
- banana - 1 large or 2 small ones
- dark chocolate - 70 g
- coconut oil or butter - 50 g
- salt - a pinch
- cocoa - 30 g
- cream - 40 ml
- baking powder - 6 g
- chicken eggs - 3 pcs.
- black currant - 100 g or other sour berry
Method of preparation:
1. Beat eggs with a pinch of salt, add cocoa and baking powder.
2. Cut the beets and banana into small pieces and add to the eggs and beat again.
3. In a bowl, mix the melted chocolate, egg mixture, raisins, nuts and currants.
4. Using a brush, grease a baking sheet or baking dish, or a multicooker pot with oil. Sprinkle with flour.
5. Pour in the dough, put in a preheated 180 degree oven for 40-45 minutes or in a slow cooker on "bake" for 50 minutes.
6. Check the readiness with a toothpick - it should be dry.
7. The baking time may vary slightly - it depends on the diameter of the mold. If you cook in a slow cooker, open the lid for the last 10 minutes to dry the cake a little.
