This is the most delicate dairy dessert. The popular delicacy is basically sponge cake with milk soaking, cream and caramel. The dessert holds its shape perfectly and is moderately moist and sweet.

The recipe for sponge cake with caramel was shared by food blogger Daria (daria.uysa) on her Instagram page.

Ingredients:

  • eggs - 4 pcs
  • sugar - 150 g
  • flour - 130 g
  • baking powder - 10 g
  • vanilla sugar

Milk soaking:

  • milk - 500 ml
  • cream - 200 ml
  • sugar - 3 tbsp

Cream:

  • 33% cream - 250 ml

Caramel:

  • sugar - 150 g
  • cream - 200 ml
  • butter - 20 g

Method of preparation:

1. Prepare the sponge cake. Beat eggs with sugar until white and fluffy.

2. Add vanilla sugar, baking powder, and flour. Mix well.

3. Pour the batter into the mold. Bake at 170 degrees for 25 minutes.

4. Prepare the soaking. Mix milk, cream, and sugar.

5. Make punctures in the slightly cooled sponge cake and pour the milk mixture evenly.

6. For the cream, whip the cream until smooth. Spread on the soaked sponge cake.

7. Prepare the caramel. Pour the sugar into a saucepan and put it on low heat.

8. When the sugar has melted, add the cream.

9. Add the butter. Stir and cool.

10. Pour the caramel over the sponge cake. Let it brew for 2 hours.
