Mouthwatering honey pie: how to prepare a quick pastry for tea
This pie is a sweet pastry made with honey dough and often with the addition of nuts, dried fruit or jam. However, no matter what you make it with, it will turn out to be very flavorful, fragrant and soft. It is prepared extremely quickly and with simple ingredients.
The recipe for honey pie was shared by food blogger Natalia (natalia_plenis) on her Instagram page.
Ingredients:
- honey - 300 g
- whole wheat flour - 110 g
- rye flour - 125 g
- eggs - 2 pcs
- rye malt (optional) - 10 g
- jam - optional
- spices (ginger, cinnamon) - optional
- dried fruits - optional
- nuts - optional
- baking soda - 1/2 tsp
- salt - a pinch
Method of preparation:
1. Mix flour, malt, spices, salt and baking soda.
2. Mix honey and eggs separately.
3. Gradually add the flour mixture to the honey one. Stir to combine.
4. Pour the resulting dough into the prepared mold. Cover with a towel and leave for 2 hours.
5. Bake at 170 degrees for 40 minutes.
6. Cut the finished pie in half and spread with jam. Sprinkle with nuts.
