Mimosa salad in a new way: what to add for a spicy taste
Mimosa is one of the simplest, most budget-friendly, yet delicious salads. You can prepare it in different ways and even without the main ingredient - fish; besides, you can replace canned fish with baked mackerel, which will make it even tastier. For a bright flavor, add mustard seeds and pickles.
Cook Tetiana shared her recipe for Mimosa on Instagram, which tastes better than the classic version.
Ingredients:
- potatoes - 4 pcs.
- carrots - 3 pcs.
- eggs - 5 pcs.
- pickled cucumbers - 3 pcs.
- salmon / tuna / cod liver - 1 can
- mayonnaise
- green onions - a bunch
Method of preparation:
1. Boil the potatoes and carrots in their skins. Hard-boil the eggs.
2. Grate the vegetables and egg whites, set aside the yolks.
3. Drain the fish and mash with a fork, finely chop the onion.
4. Assemble the salad: potatoes, fish, green onions, cucumbers, carrots, egg whites, yolks. Spread each layer with mayonnaise and garnish with herbs.
