Just one sign that gives away the poor quality of chicken fillet: what to look for

Chicken meat is considered one of the healthiest and most dietary foods. It is the product of choice for your favorite dishes because it is very versatile and goes well with absolutely everything. But to choose really high-quality meat, you need to understand what signs indicate product spoilage.

White stripes on the chicken breast

Before buying meat, inspect it carefully. If the product has a lot of white fibers, you should not buy it. Such formations indicate muscle disease. A fillet with white stripes on the surface contains 224% more fat and less protein than a healthy part of the chicken.

The University of Texas has focused more attention on this problem, and in 2016, after examining more than 285 servings of chicken available in stores, came to a shocking conclusion. More than 96% of the fillets on store shelves are affected by the disease, and their claimed nutritional value is far from reality. Such meat is usually artificially stimulated and is less nutritious.

A really large number of dishes can be prepared from high-quality chicken fillets. Food blogger olha_yurchenko shared the idea of cooking chicken with pineapple and cheese on her Instagram page. The dish always turns out juicy and tender.

Ingredients:

• chicken fillet
• canned pineapple rings or slices
• hard cheese
• mayonnaise
• salt, pepper

Method of preparation:

1. Marinate the chicken and leave it in the refrigerator for several hours. This is to make the meat tender. You can marinate in any way. It is very tasty if you add salt, pepper, olive oil, and sweet paprika.

2. Cut the fillet into pieces and beat off. Put it in a baking tray, grease with mayonnaise, and put pineapple slices on top.

3. Put it in the oven at 180 degrees for 25-30 minutes.

4. At the end, sprinkle with grated hard cheese and leave in the oven for a few more minutes.
