Instead of mayonnaise: light tzatziki sauce for salads, vegetables and fish
Greek tzatziki sauce is an ideal solution if you have long wanted to replace harmful mayonnaise in your dishes. Interestingly, tzatziki is quite versatile, as it is suitable as a salad dressing, a sauce for fresh vegetables, as well as for fish and meat. At the same time, it is easy and quick to prepare.
Food blogger Sofia (wonderwomancooking) shared a recipe for a light tzatziki sauce,which can be combined with salads, vegetables, meat and fish, on her Instagram page.
Ingredients:
- cucumbers - 1 pc
- garlic - 3-5 cloves
- Greek yogurt - 4-5 tbsp.
- juice of 1/2 lemon
- olive oil - 1 tbsp.
- herbs
- salt, pepper
Method of preparation:
1. Grate the cucumber on a coarse grater and squeeze it well.
2. Chop the garlic and add to the cucumber.
3. Chop the greens. Add to the mass.
5. Add yogurt, lemon juice and olive oil. Mix well.
6. Add salt and pepper to taste.
