The main advantage of fish cakes is that nothing can spoil their taste. Therefore, you can cook the dish in a slow cooker, double boiler, oven, or simply fry it in a pan.

"Monastery" fish cakes in a frying pan

Ingredients:

  • Fish (any kind) – 600 g
  • Carrots – 1 pc
  • Onion – 1 pc
  • Potato starch – 1 tbsp
  • Oatmeal – 1 tbsp
  • Soy sauce – 1 tbsp
  • Salt, ground black pepper – to taste

Method of preparation:

  1. Dice the onion, and grate the carrots on a small grater. Put in a frying pan and fry in a little oil. When the vegetables start to fry, add soy sauce. Stir and let it evaporate completely.
  2. Cut the fish into pieces and grind them in a blender.
  3. Next, add vegetables to the minced fish and grind again.
  4. Put the whole mass into a bowl. Add salt, pepper, starch and flakes. Mix well and refrigerate for 20 minutes.
  5. Form patties, and roll them in breadcrumbs or flour.
  6. Fry the patties on both sides. Then pour a little water into the pan and simmer for a few more minutes.

Fish cutlets in tomato sauce in the oven

Ingredients:

  • Fish fillet – 400 g
  • Carrots (large) –1 pc
  • Sausage cheese – 75 g
  • Salt – to taste
  • Dried parsley – 3 tsp
  • Tomato paste – 70 g
  • Sugar – 1.5 tsp (to taste)
  • Salt – to taste
  • Garlic – 2 cloves
  • Water – 200 ml

Method of preparation:

  1. Cut the fish into fillets, grind them with a blender, and add dried parsley.
  2. Grate the carrots on a fine grater, and stew them in a frying pan with a little water until they evaporate completely. Cool and add to the minced meat.
  3. Grate the sausage cheese on a fine grater. Add to the minced meat, stir by hand. Add salt to taste and mix again.
  4. At this stage, prepare the filling. Dilute the tomato paste with water. Add salt and sugar to taste. Grate the garlic on a fine grater or pass it through a press. Add it to the filling.
  5. From the minced fish, make cutlets of the desired size, and put them in a non-stick mold so that they do not touch each other. Pour the tomato filling over the cutlets, making sure to pour over the top.
  6. Bake at 180 degrees until the filling is completely evaporated.
