How to make a delicious dessert from a baguette: Gordon Ramsay shares his recipe and cooking secrets
Casseroles, cheesecakes, pies, dumplings, omelets, and scrambled eggs are great options for delicious breakfast dishes, and some for lunch. One of these dishes is puddings, which can be prepared with various fillings, such as berries, chocolate, and raisins, as well as cheese and caramel.
Popular chef Gordon Ramsay shared a recipe for a delicious bread pudding on his YouTube channel, which is perfect for tea and coffee (scroll to the bottom of the page to watch the video).
Ingredients:
- baguette – 1 pc.
- butter – 50 g
- apricot jam – 4 tbsp.
- sugar – 40 g
- heavy cream – 300 ml
- milk – 300 ml
- eggs – 2 pcs.
- yolks – 2 pcs.
- dried cranberries or raisins – 60 g
- milk liqueur – 4 tbsp.
Method of preparation:
1. Cut the baguette into thin slices.
2. Grease a baking dish with butter, and put the jam on the bottom.
3. Spread the baguette with butter and put on the jam, sprinkle with dried berries on top.
4. Beat the eggs with sugar, add the yolks, beat again, add the cream, milk, and liqueur, then mix.
5. Pour the prepared mixture over the bread and place the mold in a baking sheet, pour water into it, and put in the oven for 40-50 minutes at 180 °C.
6. Sprinkle the finished pudding with powdered sugar before serving, and you can also pour jam over it.
Serve warm, optionally drizzle with cream mixed with liqueur.
