To avoid spending a lot of time cooking borscht, use canned beetroot dressing. If you follow all the proportions, the preparation will be perfectly stored. The dish will be very rich and have a pleasant color.

The idea of preparing a delicious borscht dressing was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Natalia Kozoriz (natalakozoriz). Please note that it already contains salt.

Ingredients for one serving:

  • beets - 4 kg.
  • onion - 1 kg.
  • bell pepper - 1 kg.
  • oil - 200 g
  • vinegar - 200 g
  • water - 200 g
  • salt - 2 tbsp.

Method of preparation:

1. Boil the beets.

2. Dice the onion and put it into the pot.

3. Fry in a little oil until soft. Stir to prevent it from burning.

4. During this time, peel and cut the pepper into small strips, add to the onion.

5. While the onions and peppers are frying, peel and grate the beets.

6. Add to the rest of the vegetables, pour in the oil, vinegar, water, add salt

7. Stew all this for 20 minutes.

8. Wash, sterilize the jars, put our dressing.

9. Sterilize for 30 minutes (0.5 liter jars.

10. Roll up, turn over and keep warm until cool.
