How to dry plums for the winter: the method is suitable for the dryer
Dried plums are a tasty, versatile appetizer that goes well in salads, with meat and fish, as well as on their own. Thanks to savory spices, they turn out very spicy, flavorful, and also moderately juicy.
Food blogger Lilia(lileklilek2) shared a recipe for dried plums for winter on her Instagram page .
Ingredients:
- plums
- sugar
- salt
- Provencal/Italian herbs
- granulated garlic
- olive/ vegetable oil
- vinegar
Method of preparation:
1. Peel plums from pits. Sprinkle the plum halves with a mixture of sugar, salt, Provencal herbs and granulated garlic. Put them in the drying rack for 1 day.
2. After that you need to transfer the plums into glass jars and pour vegetable oil.
3- Cover the jars with plums with lids and put them in the oven for 30 minutes at 160-180 degrees.
4. Take the plums out of the oven and add 1 tsp. vinegar to each jar.
5. Hermetically close the jars, turn them upside down and cover with something warm. Cool completely.
