How to cook chicken in an unusual way and why add baking soda: an unexpected life hack
If you're tired of cooking chicken and want something out of the ordinary, cook chicken thighs in an unusual sauce. To make it, you need to fry onions with baking soda.
Thanks to the baking soda, the onion begins to thicken quickly and acquires a rich golden color without burning. As a result, the chicken thighs are moderately juicy, with a light sweet and sour flavor and a golden brown crust.

Ingredients:
- chicken thighs – 500 g
- onion – 2 pcs.
- oil – 1 tbsp.
- garlic – 1/2 head
- baking soda – 1 tsp
- salt, pepper
Method of preparation:
1. Cut the onion and garlic. Put on fire and fry until soft.
2. Add baking soda and fry until thickened.
3. Add salt and pepper and put the chicken.
4. Cook under the lid for 40 minutes, turning occasionally.
