How to cook bulgur quickly: recipe for a perfect lunch dish
Bulgur is a delicious porridge and a versatile side dish. You don't need to have any special culinary talents to cook it because it's no harder to prepare than rice or buckwheat. But the tasty and satisfying bulgur will definitely add variety to your everyday menu.
For a quick and at the same time unusual lunch or dinner, you can make bulgur with meatballs and vegetables. The recipe was shared by food blogger Alla Terechenko on Instagram.
Ingredients:
- bulgur - 1 tbsp
- minced meat - 500 g
- onion - 1 pc
- butter - 15 g
- oil - 1 tbsp
- mixture of vegetables - 300 g
- salt, pepper, dry garlic, paprika
Method of preparation:
1. Chop the onion and mix it with the minced meat. Add salt and pepper.
2. Form meatballs and fry on both sides.
3. Add the vegetable mixture and cook for about 2-3 minutes.
4. Rinse and add bulgur.
5. Cover with water and add spices and butter. Cook under the lid for 25 minutes from the moment of boiling.
