How to cook buckwheat cutlets: an alternative to classic ones
Buckwheat cutletsare the best option when you want to cook buckwheat in a unique way but are tired of the usual ones. This dish perfectly combines minced meat with the cereal. And that's what makes buckwheat cutlets a very hearty and even complete dish.
The recipe for buckwheat cutlets was shared by food blogger Maria (marichka_cooking) on her Instagram page.
Ingredients:
- veal/pork - 400 g
- chicken - 100 g
- onion - 1 pc
- eggs - 2 pcs
- boiled buckwheat - 120 g
- salt
- flour
Method of preparation:
1. Grind the meat and onion into minced meat.
2. Add salt and eggs. Mix well.
3. Add the boiled buckwheat, mix and beat the minced meat.
4. Form cutlets with wet hands and roll them in flour.
5. Fry on both sides until golden brown.
The expert says that these buckwheat cutlets go well with tomato paste or sauce. Thus, Ravshan Khamidov shared a recipe for such a sauce.
Ingredients:
- homemade ketchup - 5 tbsp
- mustard - 1 tbsp
- tomatoes - 100 g
- onions - 10 g
- garlic - 1 clove
- cilantro - 5 g
- salt, pepper - to taste
- olive oil - 1 tsp
- lemon juice - 1 tsp
Method of preparation:
1. Cut the onion into small cubes. A quarter of it is enough. Add to the ketchup.
2. Squeeze the garlic and add to the onion.
3. Cut the tomato into small cubes. Add to the ketchup.
4. Grate a little lemon zest. Squeeze out the lemon juice, removing the seeds so that they do not get into the sauce.
5. Chop the cilantro coarsely, add to the ketchup and mix everything.
6. Add all the spices and mix again.
7. If desired, add olive oil.
