Mariia Yanchyk, a product quality expert, told Kyiv LIVE TV how to choose the right quality children's sausages in the supermarket.

1. Product storage conditions

Sausages should be stored at temperatures between 2 and 6 degrees

Be sure to pay attention to storage conditions first, because they are often violated nowadays, especially in the summer season. They should be between 2 and 6 degrees.

2. Integrity of the package

Sausages should be in a whole package, without any damage.

3. Composition

There should be no food additives in good sausages

Good sausages should not contain any food additives other than meat, vegetable oil, and milk.

4. Structure

The structure should be homogeneous

There should be no dots or cartilage in the sausages in the cut.

5. Color

It should be pleasantly pink, but not dark, very rich.

Sausages can be checked for the presence of starch with the help of iodine, just drop a few drops on the sausage. If it turns blue, the product has a lot of starch.
