Homemade strawberry wine in 7 days: a delicious recipe

In Ukraine, the season of a delicious and healthy berry – strawberries – is still in full swing. It can be called a universal product, as it will be a decoration and the very highlight that will give a unique taste to any dish, from pies to salads and wines.

The FoodOboz editorial team has prepared for you a recipe for delicious homemade strawberry wine, which is very simple to make, but will definitely be a delicious treat.

Strawberries are the best base for wine

Ingredients:

  • strawberries - 3 kg
  • water - 3 liters
  • sugar - 2 kg
  • dark raisins - 100 g

Method of preparation:

  1. Wash the strawberries well, tear off the tails, and puree them, you can use a blender or just a wooden spoon.
  2. Heat water to 30 C, add all the sugar, and mix.
  3. Mix strawberries and sweet water in a large container, and add raisins. Cover the container with cheesecloth and leave it in a dark place for 5-7 days, stirring the mixture with a wooden spoon every day.
  4. After 7 days, the first signs of wine fermentation will appear, then drain the juice through cheesecloth so that all the strawberries remain on it.
  5. Pour the juice separately into a glass container – it can be a bottle or just a jar, cover and leave it for 5-7 weeks in a cool, dark place.
  6. During this time, the fermentation process will stop, sediment will appear at the bottom, and the bulk of the wine will be a pleasant red color.
  7. Pour it into a good storage container and seal it tightly, put it in the basement or just in the refrigerator at a temperature of 8-12 C.
  8. After at least 65 days, the wine is ready to drink.
