Fried pies with onions and boiled eggs: the easiest recipe for a budget dish

You can make homemade fried pies with any filling, but the most delicious ones are with meat, stewed cabbage, green onions, and boiled eggs. But the most important thing is to make a good dough.

The cook shared a recipe for delicious and satisfying fried pies with green onions and boiled eggs on Instagram.

Ingredients:

  • 3 tbsp flour
  • 3 tbsp of vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp of sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 30 g of fresh or 10 g of dry yeast
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup of cool water
  • 550 g of flour

For the filling:

  • 5 eggs
  • A bunch of green onions
  • Salt

Method of preparation:

1. Dough: in a bowl, combine flour, salt, sugar, oil. Pour boiling water over it and mix. Let cool for a few minutes and add a glass of cold water, yeast, and flour and knead the dough. Cover and leave it until it doubles in size by 2.5-3 times (it takes about 30-40 minutes).

2. For the filling: boil the eggs, cut them into small cubes, and mix with the onion, and salt to taste.

3. Form the dough into small balls. Leave for 10-15 minutes. Then form patties, and let them stand for another 10-15 minutes.

4. Fry in oil on both sides until cooked over medium heat!

Place on a paper towel to prevent the pies from getting greasy!
