Figs will decorate any dish – exotic combinations of fruit

The season of figs, a popular exotic fruit in the Middle East and Mediterranean countries, has begun. It has excellent flavor, so it is sure to become the hero of many culinary dishes. Figs taste great on their own, but they are also used to make jam, jam, pastille, and puddings.

Salad with figs and mozzarella

Ingredients:

• Mozzarella - 100 g
• Figs - 6 pieces
• Thyme - to taste
• Basil - to taste

• Olive oil - to taste
• Lemon juice - to taste
• Salt and pepper - to taste

How to prepare:

1. First, mix the herbs in a small bowl: basil, thyme, marjoram.
2. Cut mozzarella into slices and figs into slices. Add to the greens.
3. Dress the salad with balsamic vinegar and olive oil. Finally, drizzle with lemon and add spices to taste.

Fig appetizer with goat cheese and pear

Ingredients:

• Goat cheese - 100 g
• Figs - 3-4 pcs
• Pear - 2 pieces
• Honey - 1 tsp
• Lettuce leaves

• Olive oil
• Pistachios

Method of preparation:

1. Cut the cheese into slices, figs, and pear into slices.
2. Wash and dry the lettuce leaves.
3. Mix honey with oil.
4. Arrange lettuce leaves on a plate. Layer the pears, figs, cheese, and nuts in turn. Drizzle with the sauce.

Baked figs with feta

Ingredients:

• Figs - 8 pcs.
• Feta - 100 g
• Honey - 40 g
• Rosemary - a sprig

Method of preparation:

1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees.
2. Wash the figs, dry them, and make a deep cross-shaped cut in each one.
3. Fill the figs with feta and pour honey on top. Put in the oven for 7-9 minutes.
4. Serve garnished with rosemary.

By the way, feta in the recipe can be replaced with any other cheese, depending on your taste preferences: cheddar, brie, Parmesan, ricotta, etc.
