Recipe for Lenten bagels with jam on yeast-free dough

Ingredients:

For the dough:

  • vegetable oil - 90 ml
  • warm water - 100 ml
  • flour - 300 g
  • leavening agent - 1 tsp. (or a pinch of baking soda)
  • sugar - 1 tbsp.
  • salt

For the filling:

  • ready-made jam, or apples + sugar + water

Method of preparation:

1. For the dough, mix water and butter.

2. Add the rest of the ingredients and knead the dough. Wrap in cling film and leave for 30 minutes at room temperature.

3. In the meantime, to prepare the jam, dice the apples. Simmer them together with sugar and water until the moisture evaporates.

4. Roll out the dough into a circle and divide into "tongues".

5. Spread the filling and shape into bagels.
