Canned gooseberry mojito with orange and mint: tastier and healthier than compote
If you're tired of canned compotes, you can make a delicious alternative – homemade mojitos. You can make it from gooseberries, strawberries, watermelon, adding oranges, lemons, and mint.
The cook shared a recipe for a delicious homemade gooseberry and orange mojito on Instagram.
Ingredients:
For 1 three-liter can:
- 1 cup gooseberries
- 1 orange
- 2 sprigs of mint
- 1 tbsp. sugar (180-200 g)
- 1 tsp. citric acid
Method of preparation:
1. Wash the berries and mint, pour boiling water over the oranges, then cut them into slices.
2. Jars and lids must be sterilized.
3. Put 2-3 sprigs of mint, 1 sliced orange, 1 cup of gooseberries, 1 cup of sugar, and 1 tsp of citric acid in jars. Pour boiling water over and preserve.
4. Turn the jar upside down and cover with a blanket, cool completely.
