Budget appetizer with herring and beets: how to cook
Herring is a very budget-friendly fish that can be used to make a simple and effective appetizer. Namely, a canape. The product is served on black bread with beets. This is a very spicy and successful combination that has many fans.

Ingredients:
- bread
- herring
- red beetroot
- garlic
- onion
- mayonnaise
- mustard in grains
- salt, pepper
Method of preparation:
1. You can choose to make the bread square or to make squares out of round bread.
2. Fry in a frying pan until lightly browned.
3. Grate red beets (boiled or baked), add garlic, salt and pepper to taste and add mayonnaise. Mix and spread on slices of bread.
4. Put an onion ring and a piece of herring on top. Spread the mustard on top with mustard seeds.
5. Garnish with herbs if desired.
