1. Apple jam without sugar
Ingredients:
- apples - 1 kg
- water - 250 ml
Cooking method:
- Wash the apples, remove the core, put them in a saucepan, add water, and cook for 15-20 minutes until they are soft, stirring constantly.
- When they are cooked, grind them through a sieve or grind them in a blender, but you will still feel the skin.
- Put the finished mashed potatoes in a saucepan and cook over low heat, do not forget to stir so that they do not burn.
- Cook the jam for about 20 minutes, transfer it immediately to sterile jars, and preserve it.
- Be sure to turn the jars upside down, wrap them in a warm towel or blanket, let them cool completely, and transfer them to a dark, cool place.
2. Thick jam from baked apples
Ingredients:
- apples - 2 kg
- sugar - 2 kg
Method of preparation:
- Wash the apples, dry them, and put them on a baking sheet, put them in the oven for 20 minutes at 170 C.
- Afterward, be sure to let the cooked apples cool, then grind them through a sieve.
- Put the resulting puree in a saucepan, add sugar, stir, bring to a boil, and then cook for another 20-30 minutes over low heat to thicken it. Be sure to stir it to prevent it from burning.
- When the jam becomes translucent, pour it hot into sterile jars and preserve it immediately.
