7 foods you can safely eat after expiration date
Do not rush to throw away food that has already expired. After all, there are those that can be safely eaten without fear.
Nutritionist Carla Griscti spoke about this in an article for Sheerluxe.com.
She named 7 products:
1. Frozen vegetables
They can be stored in the freezer for years. Although they will lose their taste during this time, they will not harm the body!
2. Pasta
This product has no expiration date at all.
3. Pickled food
If it is stored in a dark, cold place, it may not spoil for more than 3 years.
4. Whiskey
Whiskey can "live" for many years and this will only be a plus for it. However, this will be so only if it is stored properly, avoiding contact of alcohol with the cork, and at a temperature of 15 to 20 degrees.
5. Fermented products
Pickles cucmbers and tomatoes and sauerkraut that are well marinated can be stored for more than 2 years.
6. Chocolate
If you store it in a dark place, there are simply no shelf life restrictions. And don't be afraid of the crust that has formed on it, it is absolutely safe.
7. Hard cheeses
They also do not have an expiration date, and even mold that may appear on their surface is not dangerous if it is cut off. Only soft cheeses are dangerous, such as brie or cottage cheese.
