Unusual ways to use coffee

Coffee grounds, thanks to their abrasive properties, can be used as a scrubber to clean pots and ovens and as a means of eliminating unpleasant odors in the refrigerator.

The Tap Warehouse publication reported on unusual ways to use coffee.

1. Scrubber

Ground coffee has a coarse texture and is therefore ideal for cleaning pots and pans. All you need to do is mix 2-3 teaspoons of ground coffee with soap and warm water. Apply this product to a soft sponge and simply rub the dishes until they are clean. It's worth noting that coffee also has degreasing properties, which makes dishwashing much easier.

2. Cleaning the grill and oven

According to Tap Warehouse experts, the natural acidity of coffee will help remove dirt and grease from the oven or grill. Soak the racks in the sink for 45 minutes, adding a few spoons of instant coffee. The hardened stains should now be easy to wash off.

3. Refrigerator odors

Coffee can also be used to remove unpleasant odors from the refrigerator. All you need to do is pour coffee grounds or a few whole coffee beans into a cup and place it inside. It will quickly absorb the odors. This method also works for garbage bags. One teaspoon of grounds at the bottom is enough to make the unpleasant odors disappear.

4. Cleaning surfaces

Coffee can even be used to clean hard surfaces. Mix a few teaspoons of instant coffee with soapy water to make an effective cleaner for tiles and wood surfaces.

5. Cleaning the drain

If your kitchen sink is stubbornly stuck, mix coffee grounds with liquid soap and pour boiling water over it. Soon the sink drain will be cleaned, and it will have a pleasant aroma.
