There will be a lot of flowers: what to feed roses with so that they are lush
Roses are one of the most beautiful flowers that adorn gardens and adjacent areas. However, it's not easy to get these flowers to bloom lushly.
The blooming of rose bushes largely depends on the nutrients in the soil. That's why gardening expert Bryan Clayton told Express about the best way to fertilize these plants.
According to Clayton, caring for roses is both an art and a science. It took him several years to develop the perfect formula for caring for these flowers. The expert noticed that some products that are in every kitchen can work a miracle if used correctly.
Banana peels
Clayton called banana peels "a real gold for roses". They contain a lot of potassium, which supports the general condition of the plant, promotes the formation of flowers and strengthens its immune system.
In order to feed the bushes with banana peels, they should be crushed or cut into small pieces and buried in the soil around the rose. This way, they will decompose and release nutrients to the plant.
Coffee grounds
Coffee grounds can be a good fertilizer for many plants, and roses are no exception. It can saturate the soil with nitrogen, improve its structure and stimulate the development of beneficial worms and bacteria.
All you need to do is sprinkle it around the roses. However, do not overdo it because if you add too much coffee, the soil will become too acidic.
Eggshells
Eggshells are also a very popular natural fertilizer. Before you fertilize the soil with it, you need to crush it and grind it into powder. Then roses will get access to calcium and other nutrients as soon as possible.
