How to store cucumbers so that they are fresh for weeks: a useful life hack

The cucumber season is just around the corner. Soon, the whole of Ukraine will be enjoying delicious and healthy fruits that are a real decoration of the summer table.

Unfortunately, cucumbers have a short shelf life. That is why Express has shared an effective and simple life hack that will help you keep vegetables fresh for much longer.

In just a few days, cucumbers can lose their freshness and become soft and unusable even in the refrigerator. This is very unpleasant because without this vegetable, many summer and spring dishes lose their unique flavor.

However, there is one incredibly simple but revolutionary way to store cucumbers. Thanks to it, you don't have to go to the store every day to buy fresh fruit or throw away vegetables if you bought too many.

How to store cucumbers

To keep your cucumbers fresh for as long as possible, first wrap each one in a paper towel and then put the fruit in a resealable bag. Close it securely and store it in the refrigerator.

If you don't have a resealable bag, you can use cling film, but this will be a less budget-friendly and environmentally friendly option.

Over time, you may notice condensation on the inside walls of the bag and the paper towels will be damp, but don't worry. This is absolutely normal and does not affect the cucumbers in any way.

Experts say that this way the vegetables will stay fresh for about 19 days.
