Spring and summer are the times for light, fresh looks. However, this doesn't mean that you should give up on such a spectacular makeup look as smoky eyes.

With the right combination of colors and textures, you can create a smoky makeup look that will be appropriate even on the hottest day. The Glam magazine told us how to do it.

Heat and humidity challenge even the most long-lasting makeup. Luckily, there are several ways to create a smoky eye that will look good even in spring and summer. If you use brighter colors and a light application technique, you can be sure that your makeup will not fade.

White "smokey eyes"

White graphic eyeliner and eyeshadow are always an interesting alternative to black products. Using white is a unique way to update the traditional smokey eye look.

White makeup will draw attention to your big, beautiful eyelashes and eyebrows. If you don't have bright white eyeshadow, you can use off-white or pearlescent for a similar result.

Glitter

If you use glitter to achieve a smoky effect, no spring rain or summer heat can spoil your look.

First, apply a thin layer of primer or concealer to your eyelids and create a base with pastel shadows. Then use an angled brush to apply a deep contrasting color, such as brown, to the outer corner of the eye. At the same time, add glitter and shimmer to the inner corners and upper lids.

Yellow eyeshadow

Experts say that yellow will be very popular this summer season. You can start doing the usual "smokey eyes", but using shades of yellow instead of black.

Complete your look with a small black arrow.

Sleepy eye

If you're an active social media user, you should know that sleepy and tired eyes are all the rage right now. Instead of hiding your dark under-eye circles, emphasize them with eye shadow. This way, you don't have to worry about your makeup getting wet and running onto your lower eyelid.

After applying a thin layer of eye primer, outline your lower lash line with an eyeliner pencil. Next, lightly smudge it with a small fluffy brush and apply a little eyeshadow to set the result.

You can use any color and even glitter for this look.

Shimmering dark brown eyeshadow

Shimmering dark brown eyeshadows are much more durable and less demanding than regular matte eyeshadows, which are usually used for smokey eyes.

Metallic eyeshadows are extremely easy to combine with other products. In addition, they can help hide oily sheen due to their reflective properties.
