Salt

As strange as it may sound, beets need to be salted to make them juicy and sweet.

To prepare the salt fertilizer, you need 10 liters of water and just one teaspoon of salt. First, dissolve the salt in a small amount of water until it dissolves completely. Then mix the solution with 10 liters of water and pour it over the beds. But do not overdo it so as not to damage the soil.

Wood ash will also have a good effect on root crops. You can either dilute 1 cup in 10 liters of water or simply sprinkle it between the rows.

Also, do not forget to thin out the beets so that they are large (there should be a distance of 15-20 cm between plants in a row), water the beds abundantly and properly, especially during drought, weed out weeds and protect plants from diseases and pests.
