Stylist names three main trends for 2025: what items to add to your closet right now

Ukrainian stylist Inna Hrinenko named three main trends for 2025. The expert also explained how they can be integrated into your wardrobe.

The stylist published a list of trends and examples on her Instagram page. She demonstrated options for combining certain items to make the overall look harmonious

Masculinity

According to Hrinenko, it is all about "men's items." However, there is a number of mistakes to avoid. The stylist explained that such models have to be combined with feminine elements.

"If the bottom is masculine, the top should be tight or open. And vice versa: if the top is masculine, the bottom should be feminine," explained Hrinenko. "If the bottom and top are masculine, then put on an interesting tight top, expose the neckline, show the collarbone, accentuate the waist, and add pointed-toe shoes."

Utilitarian fashion

The expert is confident that this style will also be popular in 2025. She explained that it mostly refers to work clothes.

"You can add individual wardrobe elements such as a trench coat, bomber jacket, shirts, dresses and overalls with functional pockets, pants and a skirt," said Inna. "Choose clothes in natural shades such as brown, beige, olive, khaki, and navy blue."

She also recommended paying attention to details, such as patch pockets, aviator glasses, basque belt, panama hats, caps, and hats.

"If we want the look to be more effective, mix it with the opposite styles. That is, as feminine as possible. Add transparent fabrics with lace to ensure a feminine silhouette," she recommended. "Then combine it with romantic elements, bright shoes and prints. Or opt for delicate sections that are not inherent in the utilitarian style. Use items that reveal the neckline, and add accent jewelry and heels. Complement the look with bright makeup."

Romantic style

The stylist recommends maintaining a balance so that the outfit does not seem too "sugary". To do this, you need to make some adjustments.

"Wear romantic blouses with jeans. Choose romantic dresses in non-romantic colors and combine them with leather items and rough shoes," Hrinenko listed. "Such blouses go well with masculine jackets, blazers, and coats."
