According to Lori Kaye, eye makeup plays a crucial role in makeup: "First of all, you need to think a lot about using eyeliner on the lower eyelid if you notice that it adds age to you."

She explained that when you apply dark shades on this part of the eye, you visually shrink it. Therefore, it's better to emphasize the upper eyelid for a more open look and a younger-looking face.

The makeup artist recommends favoring mascaras and shadows in nude shades, which, combined with light concealer, will instantly take away a few years.

Overly accentuated eyebrows

The expert noted that clearly drawn and thick eyebrows are not the best element of makeup, which will visibly make you look older.

"It is important to keep a natural shape and slightly fill in the space between the hairs to frame the face without overwhelming it. Also avoid having your eyebrows too close together as this can upset the proportions of your face, making you look older," she explained.
