The Balenciaga fashion house surprised netizens with a new product – a clutch bag that looks like a real boat shoe. The novelty is a size 42 heeled shoe with a silver zipper zigzagging on top.

The shoe accessory first appeared on the runway last December when Balenciaga showed its fall 2024 collection at a show in Los Angeles, Harper's Bazaar writes. Everyone online was talking about the leather paper bags or the bright pink terry sweatpants with a low rise that are so reminiscent of the 2000s. However, it was the heeled clutch that attracted the most attention.

Fashion magazine editor Tara Gonzalez decided to conduct an experiment by purchasing a controversial item. The journalist found out the hard way what exactly fits in a handbag:

• A small lip gloss
• A small flexible mesh wallet that can hold up to four credit cards and/or a passport

• Earrings with pearls
• A broken acrylic nail or two
• House keys
• Some small change

It is noteworthy that you cannot put a smartphone in the bag. In addition, there is no strap on the accessory. It cannot be thrown over the shoulder or worn on the chest. It is worth noting that the price of the product is 1890 dollars (over 76.5 thousand hryvnias). On the official Balenciaga website, the bag is called a "women's knife clutch" due to its sharp heel, so we can assume that it is better not to joke with the owners of this accessory.
