A hairdresser and blogger from Canada named Marie Ann has revealed which two popular hairstyles can significantly worsen hair condition. According to her observations, a high ponytail and a tight bun on the top of the head, which are often tied because of their simplicity, can not only visually damage strands but also provoke hair loss.

The expert wrote about this on her TikTok page. She also explained what hairstyle is best for sleeping and how to comb your hair properly.

Mary Anne posted a video in which she stated that you should not collect the strands in a too-high ponytail or a tight bun, as these styling styles make them brittle at the roots, which is not surprising because in this way they are very stretched.

However, not bothering with your hairstyle is also not very useful. The hairdresser explained that, in particular, before going to bed, you should braid a loose braid so as not to pull your hair while resting.

However, before doing any styling, the strands must be thoroughly combed. And for this, the blogger has another tip – start from the bottom.

According to the Canadian, it is better to comb your hair, starting from the ends and slowly moving to the roots. "Be sure to try this method – it will save your hair!" the hairdresser said.

The beauty's video has garnered tens of thousands of views and hundreds of likes from users who found the blogger's advice useful.
