Elizabeth II's granddaughter, Princess Beatrice of York, started a trend among royal beauties. In 2018, she appeared at the Met Gala, wearing an exquisite dark purple dress.

Beatrice complemented her look with a headband, which has become one of the most favorite accessories among court stylists. It was reported by HELLO.

On the Met Gala red carpet, the Princess of York posed in a dazzling Alberta Ferretti gown that resembled the outfit of a Greek goddess. It was made in dark purple, which complemented Beatrice's red hair and gave her a completely classic yet regal look.

The expressive dress had translucent sleeves and gathered cuffs. The tied detail at the waist added femininity, and the details on the neck and cuffs added boldness.

As for the accessories, she took a clutch, added high-heeled sandals with a metal strap, and, more importantly, wore a sequined headband that created the illusion of a crown.

It was Beatrice who started the headband trend, which was later picked up by Princess Eugenie, Zara Tyndall, and Kate Middleton. After all, one of the first times the Princess of Wales wore a headband was also in 2018, but a few months later, in July, for the christening of her son Prince Louis.
