Look cheap: three color combinations that hopelessly spoil any outfit

Kateryna MalayLady

Although individual colors in a look are often associated with sophistication and wealth, their combinations do not always evoke the same impression. Sometimes, combinations of individual shades do not fit together at all and look mottled.

It doesn't help even if one of the colors is basic: black, beige, white, etc. The editors of the fashion portal Who What Wear told us which combinations are best avoided.

Black and fuchsia

Black clothes are considered to be eternally relevant and almost always look elegant. However, in combination with fuchsia, the restraint in the outfit is lost, and bright pink becomes the accent. This particular shade can hardly be called sophisticated, and it is better to combine it with light clothes.

Purple and yellow

Each of these shades can be stylized separately in a sophisticated look, for example, as accessories or one main element. However, together, the combination looks too bright to be called sophisticated and "expensive".

Green and red

It so happens that most people associate green and red looks, decorations, and makeup with the New Year. This parallel is so ingrained in the culture that any outfits with green and red accents together may not make the impression you want to achieve.
