According to Marie Claire, the fashion for such sandals returned after The Row Summer 2024 show in Paris. The collection was opened with a model wearing rubber mesh sandals. The peculiarity of these shoes lies in the material of manufacture – PVC rubber: a translucent or opaque substance similar to jelly.
